How far in advance do I need to place my cake order?
All of our Sweetbreads and cakes are baked to order to ensure maximum freshness. Items are baked and shipped within 48 hours after orders are processed. Please factor this baking time into the estimated delivery date when ordering.
How should I store the Sweetbread, and how long does it last?
The dense, moist nature of Sweetbread keeps it fresh. Once received, it can be kept at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or refrigerated for up to 10 days. For longer storage, it freezes beautifully for up to 3 months!
How should I store my Black Cake, and how long will it keep?
Due to its rich fruit, butter, and alcohol content, Black Cake has an excellent shelf life! To preserve the flavor and moisture, keep it tightly wrapped in the shipped airtight container in a cool, dark place. The cake will stay fresh at room temperature for up to a month and can be frozen for up to one year. For the best experience, we recommend "feeding" it with a drizzle of the included alcohol every 2–3 weeks to keep it moist and deepen its flavor.
What steps do you take to ensure my cake arrives fresh and intact?
We carefully wrap each item in a sealed package to retain moisture. We use secure, insulated shipping boxes and ship via USPS 2-3 day expedited service to minimize transit time. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
